定住者について
「定住者」ビザの概要：Outline of “Long-Term Resident” Visa
"Long-term resident" is a visa that is granted when the Minister of Justice determines that special permission for residence is necessary.
Just because you meet the conditions for being a long-term resident does not mean that you will be granted permission.
日本人と同様、法令で認められていない職業を除き、どのような職種の仕事に就くことも可能です。
ただし、ビザ更新はしなければならないので、入管がよく思っていない職業には就かないほうが良いでしょう。
“Long-term residents” have no work restrictions.
As with Japanese people, it is possible to get any type of job except for those not permitted by law.
However, you will have to renew your visa, so it is better not to get a job that the immigration office does not like.
在留期限につき「定住者」は有期限、「永住者」は無期限となっています。
「定住者」ビザの人はビザの更新をしなければならないので、在留不良と判断されると、日本で生活できなくなることがあります。
Although it is similar to "Permanent Resident", there is a difference in the presence or absence of the period of stay.
Regarding the period of stay, "long-term residents" have a limited period of stay, and "permanent residents" have an indefinite period of stay.
Long-term resident visa holders must renew their visas, so if they are judged to be ill-occupied, they may not be able to live in Japan.
告示定住に当たる場合は、海外からの直接呼び寄せ（在留資格認定証明書交付申請）ができます。
告示外定住に当たる場合は、海外からの直接呼び寄せ（在留資格認定証明書交付申請）はできません。そのため、短期滞在ビザで入国後、在留資格変更許可申請を改めて行う必要があります。
"Long-term resident" visas are categorized in the long-term resident notification, and there are two types of long-term residence, which are not classified as long-term residence.
If you apply for long-term residence by notification, you can directly call from overseas (application for a certificate of eligibility).
In the case of long-term residence outside the public notice, direct summons from overseas (application for a certificate of eligibility) cannot be made. Therefore, after entering Japan with a short-term visa, it is necessary to apply for permission to change the status of residence again.

「家族滞在」ビザの概要：Outline of “Family Stay” visa
例えば、就労ビザや日本の大学等に留学で在留している外国人（本体者）に付随して被扶養者に認められます。
（１）ここでいう配偶者は、婚姻が法律上続いている者だけです。よって、内縁の配偶者、外国で有効な同性婚者（但し、同性婚のパートナーについては「特定活動」ビザで許可される可能性があります。）、は含まれません。
ビザの本体者（就労や留学の人）が死亡したり、本体者と離婚した場合は、当然単独で「家族滞在」ビザを維持することはできません。
（２）ここでいう子は、嫡出子、養子（普通養子含む）、認知された非嫡出子となります。
なお、子が成年者であっても含みます。
（３）本国の親を日本に呼び寄せたいと考える人は多いですが、親は対象外となっています。
これについては、下記で述べていますので、興味がおありでしたらお読みください。

アルバイト等を行いたい場合は、別途、資格外活動許可を取ることが必要です。
